There are days in our lives where our inner voice will not cooperate with us at all. It will just
say exactly the opposite of what we wish to hear. It happens to all of us including to you.
The voice will sound demotivating, the voice may make all your plans fall flat, it may
intimidate you and you may soon feel like giving up on what looked super interesting just a
few days ago. These feelings are very common and happen to most of us. However, we
shouldn’t give in to them.
So, what should you do on days when you just feel like giving up?
1. Recollect why you started: We all do things with a purpose. There is something that
drives us. We join a gym to lose weight, we enrol in courses to better our skills, we
take up jobs to earn a living, we decide to learn a musical instrument to pursue our
love for music. We begin all of these things with a goal or a mission. We all take off
very well with great starts but somewhere down the line as soon as we face some
resistance and things don’t go according to plan we get discouraged and our inner
voice tells us to give up and move on. As soon as you hear that voice, sit down and
ask yourself why you started your mission in the first place. Is it worth giving up after
all the effort? Picture yourself having the end desired result. This will help you win
over the inner voice and continue with overcoming your challenges.
2. Learn to feel uncomfortable and experience the negative emotions: Life is not
always a smooth run. No one, not even God promised you a bed of roses. We all
have our ups and downs and we must not let them come in our way of achieving
goals. Giving up due to a rough patch is no logical answer whatsoever. Make the
necessary adjustments, keep your head high and take on life head on.
3. Count your achievements: There is no one on this planet who has not achieved a
milestone. It may be big or small. Look back at all that you have achieved in life and
this will form the much needed self-motivation to talk you out on giving up on your
dreams.
4. Practice Gratitude: Being grateful for all the things in your life is one of the most
important factors to keep you going all along. Every day think of 5 things that you are
grateful for and make it a point to note them down. If you are grateful for a person
you could go a step ahead and let them know about it. Gratitude cultivates the
feeling of abundance which will get you going through life’s tough moments.
5. Connect with the people around: If you are faced with challenges the best way to
solve them is by getting help from others. Help could come in any form. Perhaps a
friend or a family member. Or even a professional Life Coach like me. If you feel you

Life is what you make of it. Enjoy every stage of it. All of us have the potential to live
an extraordinary life. Each of us is a temple of the Lord. It is possible for every person
to manifest their deepest desires—if only you honour this; which is your inner
divinity and then consciously choose to live from this point within.
