If you are one of those looking to be a winner then you need to create a winners mind set. If
that is what you aspire to be then you are in the right place. I will show you how to achieve
this with ease. A lot of people like you fail to develop a winner’s mind set because they
continue to take advice from unsuccessful people. It is essential that you keep yourself
surrounded by people who know where they are headed and also have a burning desire to
achieve. Generally speaking these are also positive thinking people. Avoid the negative ones
as far as you can. People with a mission in life are generally positive people who have tasted
success in life and find pleasure in helping others achieve the same. Find such people and
keep them close.
Winning is important, not the winner: It has been rightly said that winners focus on winning
and losers focus on winners. Remember to get into the game and only focus on how you are
going to win it. When you do this your energies consolidate and start sending out signals to
the universe calling towards you people and things that you need to move forward. Instead
of focussing on your target when you focus on what you don’t have or the pitfalls along the
way you attract more of ‘don’t have’ i.e you attract what you don’t want and what you
want gets more and more pushed behind and away from you. Try and merge your target
with what you like so that you are always doing what you love doing. Work then becomes a
holiday and is never really work. Keep your mind focussed on the things that you love. If you
haven’t identified your passion as yet, make sure you do and stay focused on it. Optimism
and confidence are two important traits that you need to nurture in yourself. A true
champion will understand the power of his mind and only feed it positive thoughts.
Winning is a process: Remember that winning is the outcomes of a set of processes that
lead to success. Thomas Edison is supposed to have failed at least a thousand times before
he could become one of the greatest inventors of all times. He philosophised that each
failure of his was a stepping stone to success. He claimed that each failure was actually
pointing him in the right direction. This wasn’t bravado but he truly believed that each
failure took him a step closer to success either because it eliminated a possibility ( which
was wrong) or because at a cross road in thought the mistake showed him which way not to
take and thereby directed him onto the right track. Indeed half the battle may be won if one
is perseverant. But perseverance can only be developed and reinforced with faith in the
invisible. This is because you need to believe in your abilities to take you across a finishing
line that initially is so far away that you need to believe it is possible. Developing a winning
mindset is not just a one day effort. We learn this best from athletes who are always
persistent and patient in their training. They make it a habit to get into daily rituals that get
them ready for greatness. Find yourself a routine that works for you and follow it to the best
of your ability no matter what comes in the way of it.
Win over your losses: Losses are good for us. They help us reflect on them only to make us
rise and never repeat them again. Just as I mentioned regarding Thomas Edison above, learn
to treat losses as an investment rather than an outright loss to be written off. After you
have learnt from the experience do not ruminate over it but lock it off in your past and
move on to a bright new future. Do not linger in negative self-talk and over analyse your
failures. Use your adversities to your advantage. Stay in the present and work towards a
better future.
Feed your mind with thoughts of positivity and success: We become what we think. Make
sure to feed your mind with positive energising thoughts which will help you develop a
winning mindset. The simplest thing to do is to follow the people who have been down the
same road ahead of you. One of the things which successful people do is they repeatedly
remind themselves of positive and success driving thoughts We call these affirmations.
Develop your own affirmations and use them to attract health, wealth and success in life.
